Protocol and General Division
The Protocol and General Division of the Department of the Taoiseach has responsibility for State Protocol , including protocol for the Taoiseach and Minister of State. This involves the organization of State functions e.g. National Day of Commemoration.The division is the point of contact between the President and Government Departments and liaises with the Office of the Secretary to the President on an ongoing basis.
Other functions of the division include arranging for enrolment and printing of texts of the Constitution , assisting in the implementation of the Government's legislation programme and the Programme of Oireachtas Reform,and liaison with Tribunals of Enquiry .
The division liaises closely with the Office of the Attorney General, Chief State Solicitor's Office, Office of the Director of Public Prosecution and the Law Reform Commission
