Information Society Structures and Groups

Minister of State, Tom Kitt, T.D., is responsible for coordinating the Information Society agenda across all Government departments. He is assisted in his role through a number of structures, whose secretariat is provided by the ISPU. These include:  

• the eStrategy Group of Secretaries General, which addresses national eStrategy issues and complements the work of the Cabinet Committee on the Information Society.
• the Assistant Secretaries Implementation Group (ASIG) on the Information Society. Its objective is to ensure that Information Society policy is implemented in a coordinated manner across all Government departments and agencies.
• the eInclusion Stakeholders Group, whose objective is to develop, implement, communicate, and monitor progress on a new national eInclusion Strategy which will address those in each lifecycle stage that are digitally excluded.
