National Payments Conference

On 18th April 2008, the Department of the Taoiseach and the Irish Payments Services Organisation (IPSO) will host a National Conference on Payments in the Royal Hospital, Kilmainham.

This conference follows on from the 1st National Conference held in late 2006 that highlighted the need to promote and engage in consultation and research on best practice with a particular focus on regulation, incentives and products. 

The 2nd National Payments Conference will

• Raise awareness of how Ireland compares with other countries
• Address the barriers to financial inclusion
• Look at some of the potential and innovative solutions that are available
• Explore how a future for payments in Ireland can be shaped.
