The Government today appointed - Ms Finola Flanagan as the full-time member of the Law Reform Commission for the period to end-February 2015, and - Mr Donncha O'Connell as a part-time member until 31 August 2012 (when the term of appointment of the other part-time members ends).

28  February  2012 -  Appointments to the Supreme Court

At its meeting today, the Government nominated the following serving judges of the High Court for appointment to the Supreme Court:

02  February  2012 -  The Government welcomes the publication of NESC's report Promoting Economic Recovery and Employment in Ireland.

The report reflects the Council's belief that Ireland's implementation of a multi-annual fiscal consolidation and associated policies will not, on their own or as currently designed, be sufficient to promote an acceptable recovery of the economy and employment.
