What does this Law do?
There are two aspects to this legislation. Firstly, it consolidates the existing legislative powers of the Minister in relation to provision of transport services to the islands. Secondly, it provides for other new powers relating to the provision of airstrips on the islands and the provision of connecting bus services as part of certain ferry/air contracts.
