The Taoiseach, Mr. Brian Cowen T.D., will travel to Brussels today, accompanied by the Minister for European Affairs, Mr. Dick Roche T.D., to participate in a meeting of the European Council.
The Taoiseach said "I would like to welcome Polaris to Ireland. I am delighted that they are locating their new Dogpatch Labs Europe facility in Dublin. This is an exciting initiative for Ireland, and important to our ambitions for growth and jobs."
"This is the first such facility outside the United States. The Dublin lab will be open plan space housing over 30 teams working on new businesses."

Taoiseach to Travel to the European Council, 28/29 October 2010
The Taoiseach, Mr Brian Cowen TD, today met with the winners of the Your Country Your Call competition to congratulate them on their innovative and creative proposals and their success in a very competitive field of entries.
The winning entries were Neil Leyden’s proposal to create a Digital Media Hub and father and son, Cianán Clancy and Colm MacFhlannachadha’s proposal for a Data Island Strategy.
The Taoiseach, Mr Brian Cowen T.D. welcomed the NPRF's announcement today of its first investments under Innovation Fund Ireland.
The Taoiseach said: "I am delighted to endorse these first investments under Innovation Fund Ireland. They are an important milestone in achieving our vision of Ireland as a Global Innovation Hub."
